Our School
Welcome!
Hi and welcome to the Holy Name Grade School Class of 1972 blog!
This is a place to reconnect with old friends:
To share pictures, messages and news with each other:
To reminisce about old times:
And to let others know about what's going on in your life today.
So pull out those old photo albums, dig into your memory banks and "blog" away.

A Message from Bishop Harrington
Dear Alina:
Thanks for the invite to the class reunion of '72. I think it is a great idea. I am sorry that I am unable to attend, due to confirmation schedules that weekend. I have three confirmation ceremonies that weekend in southwest Minnesota.
I have been a bishop for the past fourteen years. I am presently the bishop of the Diocese of Winona in Southern Minnesota. I have been here for the past nine years.
I was back in Michigan during the final week of August. I did celebrate Mass at Holy Name one weekday morning. I have many opportunities to talk with Sr. Marietta. She comes out to Winona with some friends about twice a year and I get to see her when I return to MI. I believe that she is going to attend the reunion.
I certainly do remember your class quite well. I do have contact with some of the classmates and with some of the parents. Please give my regards to all. Encourage them to support the S.E.E.D. foundation of Holy Name School so that others can have the opportunity to attend such a fine school.
I will certainly remember you and your classmates in my prayers and especially on that weekend of the reunion. God bless you all.
Bernard J. Harrington, Bishop of Winona

Pat Callaghan's Family
Hello to the Holy Name Class of 1972! I have not gone very far... I still live on Manor Road just over the bridge near the top of the hill (before Oxford). My family and I have lived here for over 11 years and we are all members of Holy Name church and school. My son Shane is a junior at Brother Rice and he is on the varsity tennis team so they are getting ready for their season. Megan is going to be a freshman at Marian after graduating last year from Holy Name. My youngest is Kara Grace and she is going into fifth grade at Holy Name. She is the youngest of the 60 grandchildren and the only one born on St. Patrick's Day! Something tells me I better keep a close eye on her! My wife Gail is coming out of retirement and returning to the world of dentistry and I am a Human Resources consultant and a professor at Walsh College. My Dad will be 91 on October 5 but he is not going to be able to make it to the reunion. He has asked me to pass along his best wishes to the entire class! I look forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks!
Mike Doran - then & now
Mike & his wonderful family.
Hi everyone. Here is a current picture of my family and I on a recent trip up to northern Michigan. I stayed at that cabin in 1969 at Camp Santa Maria and saw the moon landing there. We live in Ypsilanti, MI (sister city to Ann Arbor) and spend A LOT of time of the softball fields, seeing that I coach and my daughter Nena plays (man does she play!). My son Sean is awesome too. He and I do everything together. I'm looking forward to Alina's party. Hope to see many of you there! Mike D
Beth (Gruber) Anderson & her beautiful family
Here is Beth's 8th grade picture - and 2 of her and her husband, Michael Anderson. The last picture is of Beth and Michael's daughters, Erin (25) and Megan (19). Erin is living in San Francisco and working as a camp director in Mill Valley. Megan lives at home, goes to school locally and is interested in graphic arts. She would like to transfer to Cranbrook next fall.
Beth writes, "I'm extremely proud of my girls and madly in love with my husband...doesn't get much better than that."
